Since I can remember, I have been documenting my life in a poetic journal. I wrote about everything that affected me, everything I liked, disliked, wanted. Over the years I have come to realise that because I enjoyed writing about my life, I paid more attention to its on-goings. I would analyse events as they would happen just so that I could write a beautiful poem about it.
Here is where I started. Well technically, my first ever poem was called ‘Butterfly’- that I wrote when I was 9 years old. It is one that I never documented. The following, titled “Examination” is my second poem. I think I was 10 when I wrote this. I clearly remember sitting in class, in the primary wing of APS Dhaula Kuan, scribbling away into my emo-teenage-diary.
